New Wastewater Processing Capabilities at Our Amlon Golden Triangle Treatment Plant

In February of 2024, The Amlon Group completed the acquisition of Amlon Golden Triangle, previously EcoWater Industries LLC. This facility is a fully permitted Non-Hazardous Centralized Wastewater Treatment and TSDF located in the Texas Golden Triangle area of Port Arthur, Texas.

We’re thrilled to announce that effective August 2024, The Amlon Group received permit modifications from the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) to accept two hazardous waste RCRA codes—D002 and D018—into our Treatment, Storage, and Disposal Facility (TSDF) operations.

  • D002: This code refers to “wastes that exhibit the characteristic of Corrosivity,” which includes materials in both side of the pH spectrum acid pH <2 and alkaline pH > 12.5 that can pose significant environmental risks if not handled properly. Our facility is now accepting these types of waste, ensuring they are processed in an environmentally responsible manner.
  • D018: This code covers “wastes containing benzene,” a volatile organic compound that is harmful to both human health and the environment. Our team is committed to using advanced wastewater treatment methods to effectively manage the streams contaminated with benzene, minimizing their impact on our ecosystem.

Joe Hollis, General Manager of Amlon Golden Triangle, was quoted as saying; “Receiving approval to accept these new codes is part of our ongoing effort to provide greater service to our customers.  We realize that these new codes represent a significant amount of waste generated in The Gulf Coast from industrial operations and we’re excited to partner with these customers to provide a higher level of service.”
