Amlon Group Embraces Growth Through Strategic Acquisitions

Testing

At Amlon Group, we’re in growth mode and actively exploring merger and acquisition opportunities to bolster our capabilities and market presence. As reported in a recent Mergermarket article, our company is open to acquiring complementary businesses.

“We are very much in expansion mode and see tremendous potential to grow Amlon through strategic acquisitions,” said Amlon CEO Mark Wayne. “Our focus is on finding the right targets to enhance our waste processing expertise and diversify our service offerings across key industry verticals.”

Amlon announced the acquisition of industrial waste management firm EcoWerks in February 2024. We funded this deal through equity and debt financing, and the sellers retained an ongoing investment in the combined company.

While Amlon will consider acquisition opportunities across the United States, we are particularly interested in growing our market share in the South, Southeast, and Midwest regions near our current facilities. Our M&A strategy centers on deepening our expertise across core verticals such as hazardous/specialized waste, wastewater, thermal solutions, medical waste, and industrial waste.

Since Heartwood Partners acquired Amlon in 2021, we have already doubled in size. Now, we are leveraging our healthy balance sheet to fuel further expansion, both through M&A and organic initiatives like expanding permits, processing capacity, and even building new facilities.

“There is opportunity in industrial wastewater that we are eager to capture through strategic acquisitions,” added Demetrios Dounis, a partner with Heartwood Partners. “By expanding our capabilities in this space and others, we can deliver even more value to our commercial and industrial customers.”

Amlon remains in growth mode. We are squarely focused on strategic acquisitions that can transform our business and cement our position as a leading, diversified waste management provider.
