The Amlon Group has been selected to receive the Texas Mutual Platinum Safety Award, an annual recognition given to a small percentage of businesses whose safety programs demonstrate strong structure, consistency, and organizational commitment.
This recognition is awarded to just 200 recipients out of more than 76,000 insured Texas businesses, placing The Amlon Group amongst the top 0.27% in the state.
For Amlon, the acknowledgment reflects the work our teams put into maintaining disciplined facility processes and a culture of awareness across our operations.
Safety as an Operating Principle
Our facilities manage a wide range of industrial waste streams—from wastewater and corrosive materials to spent catalysts and metal-bearing liquids. In environments like these, safety is not a single program but an ongoing practice embedded into daily operations, training, and decision-making.
As CEO Mark Wayne shared:
“This recognition reflects our team’s daily commitment to protecting one another while handling complex industrial and hazardous waste streams. In our line of work, safety isn’t optional. It’s the foundation of everything we do.”
A Systematic Approach to Complex Waste Streams
Proper waste classification is one of the most consistently challenging components of industrial environmental management. Whether a material originates from refining, manufacturing, chemical processing, or service-related operations, each waste stream has regulatory requirements that determine how it must be handled.
Our teams incorporate process knowledge, analytical testing, and regulatory understanding to support customers with:
- Waste characterization and profiling
- Regulatory determination
- Sampling and documentation
- Treatment and disposal planning
- Tracking and record management
These steps help industrial operators navigate requirements under RCRA and relevant state regulations, especially when managing mixed, variable, or high-volume waste streams.
What the Award Represents
The Texas Mutual Platinum Safety Award recognizes policyholders whose internal safety programs demonstrate strong organization and implementation. For Amlon, the award reflects the ongoing work of employees at every facility who contribute to building and maintaining those practices.
While the award is an external acknowledgment, the underlying effort comes from the steady, day-to-day focus applied across our operations.
Looking Ahead
We will continue developing our safety programs, technical capabilities, and operational systems as industrial waste streams and regulatory frameworks evolve. Our teams remain focused on maintaining disciplined processes and supporting industrial customers with waste classification, treatment, and material-handling expertise informed by current regulations and industry expectations.
